Thursday, Feb. 8 at lunch there will be retakes for phrase quiz....last chance!

Extra credit book projects are due no later than Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. Remember that you still need to do the book project that is due March 26/27! The one that is due Feb. 16 is extra credit and worth up to 50 points.

We will be beginning essays today. We will start the brainstorm and Think Sheet. Topics are:
1. My three favorite sports
2. My three favorite hobbies
3. Three people who have influenced me and why
4. Three most important events in my life and why
5. Three words that describe me and why
6. The most memorable event in my life ( three things about it)

Choose one topic

Homework due Friday/Tuesday: (no school Monday) -- Study Vocabulary List 8 for quiz on Friday/Tuesday. The words are: epicure, especially, equivalent, existence, and familiar. You need to know spelling, part of speech, related words, definition, and how to use in a sentence. For extra credit you need to know spelling only of the other five words: excellent, exercise, experiment, finally, and extremely.
